Art Event and Poetry Submissions​

Calling all Poets!

 

West Coast of Wisconsin and Visit Pepin County are teaming up with Pepin and Durand Public Libraries and Stockholm Pie to host community poetry readings this November. Thanks to a generous grant from the WI Arts Board, these two organizations received funding for artwork to be created by four local artists in conjunction with the Stockholm Art Fair, that represents the Pepin County, Lake Pepin, and West Coast of Wisconsin area. To celebrate the artwork, three poetry reading events will be hosted at the Pepin Public Library, Durand Public Library, and The Stockholm Opera Hall at Stockholm Pie.

 

Here's how you can participate:

 

1.   Create a poem of any kind or length, inspired by the commissioned art works created for the project by four local artists, Dan Wiemer, Soren , Svedvik, Bruce Hecksel & Leslie Stewart. he art works are inspired by Lake Pepin, Pepin County, and the West Coast of Wisconsin area.

2.   Submit your poetry to info@co.pepin.wi.us by October 18th, 2025.

​

3.   Include your name, location, age and which art work inspired your poetry.

​

4.   Join us at one of our three events to share your poetry with the community. Attendance at the public events is NOT required, but we would love for you to join us.
